Heyday approached us about shooting a video for their new boat reveal. We shot this video production both on Norris Lake in Tennessee, and in a virtual production studio.

Heyday wanted to push that this was a magical, mystical boat. To capture their vision, we leaned into an abstract creative to drive the story told in this video. We decided on an R&D lab as the setting for this video. The lab scenes were shot entirely in a virtual production studio. Physical props like the desk were used to enhance the visual effects of the virtual environment.

One main visual effect that we used to tell Heyday’s story, was double exposure. What spoke to us and our creative team, was that these pro wake-boarders knew exactly what they wanted in a perfect wake boat. We utilized the double exposure visual effect to illustrate how the talent conceptualizes new ideas for designing the perfect boat and how he’s going to use it.
