We’ve always been proud Tampa Bay Lightning fans, but coming off our 2nd championship, we were more excited than ever to get the call to cover the 2021-22 season player highlights. We had a small window for a virtual production of this scale, but this was a no challenge for our experienced team of production professionals.

We pitched several concepts to the Lightning team. The concept that was chosen involved building an LED cube that the players would stand in as the camera moves around them. This was our first time doing this type of layout, but it ended up being a big win that produced unique visual results.

The LED cube acted as a massive lighting source, which meant we didn’t need to use much other lighting equipment. Our LED tech made it possible to immerse each player in 7 different environments in only 5 minutes per player. We used custom backgrounds, animated with dynamic effects, to achieve some really cool shots.
